Case static?

I just reinstalled my liquid cooling b/c I put my computer on air for a bit.

I grounded myself but now... It wont turn on not even the green led.

Power is plugged in the PSU and powercord which works fine.

Ive been told by my dad's IT guy that it could be static.

Any suggestions

take everything out of the case clean from any dust and install the psu first and plug it at the wall and let it be on for some time the static ends, also your case is made of acrylic? if is there's alot of static in there  anyways must be dust, but try doing this, also check to see if the conections are all in their right place (yes that happens with everyone sometimes ).

good luck mate. :)

Soap.

But I need to use this case I just bought it b/c my other case did the same, It works outside the case now what?

There might be some sort of static or shortening. How is the state of the motherboard/PSU/CPU/GFX/SOUND etc, what is your problem exactly.

What other case did you have before also.

I had the NZXT Apollo now I have the thermaltake v9 Black edition. Everything on the PC works fine just motherboard wont turn on inside the case

maybe the the case is touching the any mobo soldering, also take care when installing it, since the screws dont need to be too tight, also the screws can do a shortening it they touch the mobo pins. watch for any part of the mobo it its touching the case (not the mobo tray obviously).

OMG I KNOW WHATS GOING ON!!?!?!?

The Thermaltake mounting block on the other side of the mobo where the soldering is, is touching it by a couple points Im not sure how to fix that thought u want me to take a pic?

so it was the soldering touching the mounting block wow i almost did a bullseye lol, maybe a photo can help the dudes but i dont know if i could help since i never saw a TT mounting block. and i dont know if it can be replaced (probably can) with other blocks

The guy mentioning static is probably talking about a short somewhere. It can feel like static, a few volts dc over a case.

i can't see them needs a password to enter, try uploading them on :oc3d: image uploader and post here as "
" like this

Just take a little piece of flexible plastic film (not too thin to avoid it getting ripped by the solder, and not too thick to avoid being unable to put the cooling back).

I had once a computer misbehaving just cos the mobo had a little designflaw on one of the grounding pads at one of the screwholes. Isolating solved it.

I wouldn't use electrical tape just cos it gets messy with time (a computer can get real hot).
