Where did you get your FIRST car insurance?

I'm pretty much settled on EGG being the cheapest at £1100

2nd cheapest being endleigh at £1500 third party fire and theft

and thats for a flipping 1995 1litre citroen AX!!!!!

pay monthly (at extra cost) or try to get it all out the way?

Think mine was tesco tbh. Was around the £1300 mark for a 1.2 Clio. You're best off if you're a girl (I'm guessing not) and you don't have a small car that can any way be construed as a 'hot hatch'. Try looking to see how much it'd cost you to insure a diesel mondeo for example.

Yesterday got the Capri insured for 1300 on a provisional and 1900 for Full. Not too bad. Sometimes I wish I had no love for cars and I would just buy a boring Corsa. But hey. I pay the price for fun.

That was with Kwikfit. With all the bundles such as 10% off MOT/Tyres and so on.

I'm so dreading my first insurance! They really kill you for the first couple of years...but I can understand why tbh.

From what I've heard, EGG is the best at the moment.

Things like this I find stupid. You pay 3x the cars value, and if you don't crash, whats the point? It'd be easier for it to be optional (to an extent) and you just buy a new car if you crashed :rollingla

are you goin third party fire and theft cos for some strange reason mine and my older brother's insurance comes cheaper if we go fully comp!

Man, I had a 1 litre AX with 4 gears too when I was 18. Mine had tinted windows, 14" alloys and a Scorpion exhaust (all on it when I bought it btw). It was a beast, sounded like a Scooby going down the road, but it sure didn't shift like 1!

I think I was an additional driver on mums insurance 1st. Can't remember how much I paid for my 1st year of insurance now...

fyi, it is alot cheaper as a provisional license holder as you have to have someone next to you. It will go up next year.

ok well im all insured £1200 paying monthly @ £100 a month,

been having a go round in it, fairly easy tbf

just needs to take it steady and get the no claims going

anyone got the sony stereo release tool? *wants/needs new stereo lol*

i dont think a subwoofer will do the speed/height of the car any good tho

might just need new 4" speakers, headunit and either 2 6x9s or some <10" speakers
