Cant Get SATA 3 Ports Working on Gigabyte X58A-UD5

How would I go about testing the cables? I had been using the cables prior to getting the new cable and I never experienced any sort of problem with it. While trying to diagnose this problem I ran HDTune on my raptor to make sure it wasnt the drive and everything checked out fine. I do have a spare drive I could use if needed to test with.

yeah just meant if they were working on other drives is all. still very weird issue but hey its sorted out maybe the drive in question just wanted a new cable and was playin possum til it got what it wanted
