Hi Guy's

My Pc is starting to heat up my room which i wouldnt mind but ive recently setup a 4ft tropical fish tank and the pc heats the tank i dont even need a heater in the tank between my pc and my bearded dragon tank they keep the room at an average of 25-28c (Despite the window being open 24/7) so ive decided to go water cooling as i have an old rad and cpu block and res laying under my bed from my last attemped when my pump melted so ive been on the hunt for 2 Gtx 480 water blocks and to my 10+ hours of surfing the web i only found one on ebay so does any 1 have or know of where i can get my hand on some gtx 480 waterblocks?

Well after you have created enough posts (I think it's 50) you could create a Wanted add in our "For Sale/Wanted" section.

Alternatively you could get something like these http://www.ekwb.com/shop/blocks/vga-blocks/universal-vga-blocks.html As they are universal they will fit most blocks but you can double check with their cooling configurator.

I'm not sure if watercooling will actually reduce the temperature in your room though, the reason you get lower temperatures is because water is more efficient at removing the heat, the same amount of heat is still kicked out by the CPU etc though. And if you then over clock it will be hotter still. But I don't know for sure, may need someone to confirm or deny this.

The more you cool your computer, the hotter it will get in your room. Like JackyBoy said the heat has to go somewhere.

Well thanks for all your post looks like is more guiding the heat out of the room then trying to cool the components.

Changing the card i really dont see the point as a gtx 480 at gtx 580 clocks is 1% slower so its about 15% -/+ slower than a gtx 680 i dont normally change cards until the new ones are 65-75% faster

I guess i need to re-arrange my room for the pc to sit near the window

Sounds sensible. Watercooling won't change the temps of your room - it will just move the same amount of heat off your cards faster. Yea open a window!

My Window never closes apart from the summer when its warmer outside

even england isnt cold enough to tame gtx 480 sli
