Cant connect to pretty much all games

I can't connect to IWNet or CS:S servers.

When trying to connect to IWNet it just sits there displaying the message: "Connecting to IWNet..."

And when trying to connect to a CS:S server it stays at "Connecting to server..."

Just tried connecting to GMOD, which didn't work.

Tried connecting to L4D2, didn't work.

Tried connecting to Call of Duty 2, didn't work.

Also, I can't connect to COD4 servers.

However, I can connect to BC2 servers and browse the web just fine.

What I have tried:

- Rebooting (loads of times since I've been having this problem for a couple of days now)

- Disabling my firewall

- Cleaning up my registry

Any suggestions?

I posted this on the steam forums aswell btw ;)

Ok looks a like a problem with them rather than you. Are your ports blocked? Have you tried to hack/abuse the service?

Weird problem.

Well no I haven't tried hacking anything.. =/

My VAC status is in good standing.

My ports aren't blocked I guess.. I have UPnP enabled, some ports are forwarded (utorrent)

Everything was fine untill suddenly one day nothing worked except BC2... happened a couple of days ago.

It happens with all the COD4 and CSS servers I try to join. It simply times out =/

Sounds like an ISP problem then, contact your ISP and say the problem. Make sure you say to them you've tried things like firewall and such. What is your ISP?

Hmm I might yeah. However, before I do that, I will try resetting/rebooting both my router and my modem.

Also, I just caught some *beep* trying to scam me.

any other pc's u can try and play games with?

Noo since the only other computer in this household is a macbook and there's no pc at my dad's place either just a macbook there aswell so I can't check if it's my pc that's the problem =/

But I'm thinking of getting a new 5770 and a spinny F3 which means I'll reinstall w7 so if it works after that (although I won't be doing any of that till like march) I'll know it's my software.. ;)

Could always ping the server on the MAC.

Try connecting urself directly to the modem also. If it works, similarly to utorrent forwarding, it aint being done.

:p I assumed he had already done that, but a very valid point and suggestion.
