Cannot boot into any bootable application

i have an asrock 4 core dual VSTa motherbaord.

when placing in a bootable xp cd or an other type of bootable application i cannot seem to boot into it. even when trying to access safe mode my pc will not boot and continue loading normally? ive tried pressing every key lol.

bios - boot priority's (will be somwhere in advanced options, or somthing similar)

and make sure your first boot devide is your cd/dvd drive

Are you using the boot menu asrocks use? Mash F11 on post iirc.

boot menu as rock uses? ye i think so? ive read up that its something to do with the psu?

ive mashed the f11 key and tried booting up with various bootable cd's, it wont boot into them when i hit any key! annoying! the cds boot up fine with my fiancees pc. i cnt even boot into safe mode. im just wanting to boot a floopy disk so i can flash my gpu but even when booting up a floopy with ls dos it wont let me type in any commands

Have you tried unplugging the hard drive totally so it doesn't have the option of booting from it?

nope... unplugged the hdd and still wont boot into floppy/cd (im 110% they are bootable because ive tested them on another machine) its so annoying because i cant even reformat my machine, i have to take it to another machine to reformat the hdd!

please help guys! any info much appreciated!
