I was just wondering about this as I plan to get this range of mobile processor with my Alienware m17x laptop, anyone have any idea's on this little matter?
Can you overclock 2760QM?

Is it a brand like HP or Dell?
Cause then it might be nearly "impossible" to overclock. Some brand motherboards have modded bios' you can flash the motherboard to, but it's risky and might brick it
EDIT:
If not a brand (highly doubt it, schools usually only have brand pc's), then just google it too see some safe limits for the CPU and motherboard.
If a brand, just google if it can be done with that exact model I guess

Ok so, I am in the computer lab and dealing with a completely boring, nothing to do, not even work kinda day. The computer I am on has a an Athlon 64 x2 4400+ CPU and I wanna overclock it for shits and giggles XD (like the little Ninja I am) Soooo, anyone have any thoughts?
yeah overclock the cpu and then watch your IT teacher overclock the shit out of you

Some obviously not very bright student in your computer lab has decided y'all dont have the smarts to catch him overclocking the schools property. You'll probably be able to identify him/her by his snickering and or eyerolling at you while you try and teach. I say teach him a lesson he'll never forget for his stupidity . And this stupidity is of course if ur gonna sabotage school property dont blab about it on a public forum. For suggested punishment I'd recommend having him scrap all the gum from under all desk in the entire State of Mississippi.
