my new rig will consist of:

amd 65 3500+

1024mb twinX ddr500 corsair

160gb wd hd

xfx g-force 6800gt

asus a8n sli deluxe

thermal take psu (link above)

please help im dont know alot about psu's. thanks you

Yes it will work, but it's not your best choice.... Thermaltake makes garbage PSU's. Try and find yourself an OCZ PowerStream, PC Power & Cooling, Enermax, or Fortron PSU.

will it do ok for overclocking at all? as ive already bought it....

Umm...well the man said it aint that good....so it probably aint that good....

Always go for the trusted brands...OCZ etc...oh and Antec PSU's are ok!

yes it will do but would not have been the best choice ; but that is a 680W PSu from a decent manufacturer for £ 78 !!! imo good buy matey

thermal rigth are sa damn good brand but just not as good as fotron etc ..personally i rank em higher than tagan

that psu is actually the best TT has ever produced , its pretty good . Should shoot that electricity bill really high :)

so the psu is ok but its not the best.... how much of a oc do u think ill get with it?

check my 1st post on this page for my rig in the making

personally i dont think that psu will limit more than likley if u r limited it will by other componets (ram or cpu or mobo more than likley);

ur oc high may b 2.7-.8 givin that kik ass watersetup but the asus may limit ya tho :(

are the a8n sli boards not that gud oc'in then?

in general asus dont make the best overclocking boards i was sayin that that board may home you back relative to say a DFI board

it will serve you well but you may not be able to realise the potentail of your system using it

Agreed, I don't think the PSU is going to be a problem when it comes to OC'ing... It will be other component factors that will limit you.

Just make sure everything is properly cooled, doesn't sound like it should be a problem if you buy XMS's watercooling setup :)
