Hello Currently im in the building process of my pc and before i buy my 760 i wanted to know if u could sli a 550 ti with it any help will be greatfull.

Nope. The GTX 760 uses a different GPU (I think one is the GK104 and the other uses a GK106 chip).

I still think you should get the 760 though, it will probably perform the same, if not faster than SLI 550 Ti/s. It will also run cooler, need less power, be quieter and it won't have scaling issues because of SLI (rarely happens, but not using SLI eliminates the chances completely).

Then, you can always add another 760 if you want to in the future. Also don't forget that the 760 is basically a somewhat slower GTX 670 :)

Well technically... You can, but that's only a possibility on motherboards, that have the Lucid Hydra chip on them, which allow you to sli/crossfire 2 completely different gpus(e.g. HD7870 and GTX660ti on the same mobo). That technology was first released in like 2010 and tbh it didn't make that big of a bang, mostly because it was all a bit too wobbly. Meaning, that sometimes you could get a performance boost in some games and sometimes it just crippled the performance and 2 gpu setup was slower than 1 gpu. It was(probably still is) a hit and miss, so you are better off just getting a single 760 and just selling the 550ti.

They have to start with the same number
780&760
560&550 ect.

Hmmmmm.... not heard this before. To me it's always been same GPU and its fine i.e. GTX580 and GTX580, GTX670 and GTX670, etc. even if they have different VRAM and from different vendors, as long as it's the same GPU.
