Hey all,
Never really thought about this before and dont really intend on living off benefits for ever but here goes.
I have finished my full time course at college and have enrolled onto a Foundation Degree for September. This course is only part time (8 hours per week) and I am currently looking and applying for jobs to do along side this course but I am having no luck at the minute.
Does this mean I am legible to apply for Job Seekers Allowance?
I am 17 (18 in October), living with my parents and I am not employed at the minute so even once I am back to college unless I find a job I will only be doing 8 hours per week.
I would much rather have a job but the money until I get one would be handy and help me get by. I have had previous jobs such as working at Argos but was only an Xmas Temp was layed off after Xmas.
Any advice on places I could apply for a job would be helpful aswell, I have tried all the usual retailers but had no joy, it just seems they are not willing at employing anyone at the minute.
Thanks, Sam
