Call of Duty 4 {PC} Online Problems?

When my friend tries to join servers through xfire, he times out. When he tries to load servers on the server list that is in game, none of them show up. His game is fully patched. Punkbuster is up to date, and the ports are configured. Anyone have any idea what the heck is wrong?

Just a shot in the dark. Make sure all PB services are loaded upon booting. You can see these as Punkbuster A and Punkbuster B within msconfig services.

You should right click the cod4mp executable and add rights to the current user to full control.

Then right click run as Administrator.
