Buy Now or wait

I was just about to click buy on Amazon for an ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q when I then read a few more articles on various HDR options later this year. These are probably out of my price range but then read about the Samsung Quantum Dot monitor. The only version at the moment is a freesync one, would it be worth me waiting for later this year until the g sync version comes out or should I just go for the PG348Q

depends do you need a monitor now? if so, like i recommend everyone check on camelcamelcamel and pull the trigger when it says is a good price.

This is doing my head in looking for a new monitor my existing one Asus PB287Q still seems to be Highly recommended and although the 4K resolution is much sharper, my previous VK278Q was more vibrant. That is what I'm looking for, to have the same sharp 4k image but with the vibrancy of the previous monitor. As previously mentioned, it is a minefield and there's a plethora of choices. I dont think I want to loose the 4k by dropping to a PG348Q and I'm hearing lots of reports about major IPS light bleed on the PG27AQ. I've even thought about going for a professional 32" 4K but I really need to compare them side by side.

Take IPS bleed with a pinch of salt, its almost at a troll like status where one person had it now everyone is an expert because they read it somewhere.

I bought a PG348 as a Bgrade that was returned for BLB and there wasnt a thing wrong with it. Bceause of the way IPS works youll always get bleed to a certain extend but Ill be fudged if I could see a thing wrong with this one.

PG348 and PG279 are constantly getting flack for BLB - I have a 348 on my racing rig and 4x 279's on my desk/main rig/workstation

I ended up getting a 2nd hand Acer Predator XB321HK 32 inch and it has very minimal light bleed but I think it's more likely to be IPS glow. It has a stunning picture and I'm happy with it. There is the odd glitch with it though, I sometimes get a 1/2 screen flash of something that I cant make out but it only happens once or twice a day and never while I'm playing a game.
