Ok. Whats the best way and programes to use to go about burning a processor in?

And is there any tests for burning memory too?

Thanks again guys! Im in a maad rush to get things together before i28!!

Anyone else going?

Folding@Home works for me, and the CPU load can be changed, which can be helpful :)

P95 also does the trick, tho if you`re not 100% stable, it`ll fall apart

:)

for memory...Memtest is the way to go :)

memtest85 tends to be the most common method for memory. Find your current stable speed then edge it by a couple of MHz until you get only a few errors, then the errors should slowly decrease. Keep upping it bit by bit!

I like using SP2004, it is basically prime95 but with a better interface which tells you how long you have been running it, and gives you easy info on whether you are testing just the CPU, or the RAM and the CPU.

And you can alter the priority of the program if you need to use the system and it is too slow.

I haven't used that one - it sounds quite good, I think I'll have to give it a try with my new system :D
