HI all

I decided that i need an new pc. So I loked every where for decent Pc didn't found one. S i I sad ''I build one by myself" but I stumbled a problem.

1th I was thinking a bout this system:

* GeiL 2 GB DDR2-800 Kit, (ram)

* Samsung SpinPoint T166, (hdd)

* SilverStone FN82, ( extra fa)

* MSI G31M-F, (mainbord)

* Samsung SH-S203B(driver),

* CardReader intern 54-in-1,

* Asus TA-885,(tower)

* Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q6600,

* Chieftec GPS-500AB,(power)

* Sapphire HD2600PRO,

but then I was thinking '' Maybe it van be better''

so now I'm left with only this:

* GeiL 2 GB DDR2-800 Kit,

* SilverStone FN82,

* Samsung SpinPoint T166,

* CardReader intern 54-in-1,

* Samsung SH-S203B,

* Asus TA-885,

* Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q6600,

So my question is can you help me with choosing the last components like: power,video card( prefer 512 mb maybe something form GT8600?) and motherboard(has to be not to fancy I don't need onbourd vga) . Or should I go with the firs config??

i don't need very fancy PC it's has to be fast,powerful and not to expensive because I don't have much money. i do much of photoshoping,designing site, gaming and some other stuff.

I hope you can help me.

And sorry if I put this thread in wrong place

I would go for the Asus P5K-E/WIFI-AP mobo or just the P5K-E if you already have a router etc or are not going to be using wireless. Has some good over clocking features and is a good stable board.

It has the P35 chipset on which is very fast.

:D

thanks for you idea. does someone else has any idea??

i found this video card Club 3D 8600 GT Overclocked, what doe you guys think of it ?

What's your budget?

If you're intending to game I'd stretch up to buying an 8800 rather than an 8600 =)

PSU - look at the review section for something in your budget, if it has XMS's seal of approval buy it!

As for the graphics card, if you are tight for money the 3870 is really good. Better still is the 8800GT. (What resolution will you be working with?)

A budget for the whole system will help (also if you require a monitor etc)

My budget is no more then 700 euros I all ready spent 440 euros and I have to buy motherboard,video card and power supply (I want to be environment friendly so no 600wat) .Monitor I all ready got LG L194WT(Digital)

I'm working with 1440x900 res. Yah I'm going to game but but not die hard gaming. I play games for fun.

If I go with 8800GT video card, how long will it last ( could I play newest games)?? Because it's so expensive.

If you need to know something more just aske:D

I'd go for an 8800GT if you're looking to play the latest games on a reasonable setting. It's pretty good value for money.

As for a motherboard, with the budget I'd probably go for something P35...an P5K-E is a pretty solid choice.

Power supply wise, you should be able to get away with 500w or so..mine runs fine on a 480w :)

thx guys for your help I think I go with this config :

* OCZ 2 GB DDR2-800 Kit(ram),

* Abit IP35-E,(mainboard)

* Samsung SpinPoint T166,(driver)

* SilverStone FN82,

* CardReader intern 54-in-1,

* Samsung SH-S203B,

* Asus TA-885,

* Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q6600,

* Trust PSU PW-5110,(370w pawer sup.)'' I'm building pc with one shops ''Building Pc'' software and it say 370w is good''

* Club 3D 8600 GT Overclocked, (video card)

or maybe I'll take 450w power supply and the reason why I'm not going with 8800GT is the cheapest that I found is 250euro

so what do you think??

Considered a 3850 or a 3870 instead? With the price drop today....it could be a feasible option.

you will need about a 500W psu, and just because it is 500W doesnt mean it will draw that from the mains power...

if your system only draws 200W, and you have a 500W power suply, it will only draw about 250W from the mains (extra 50W due to inefficiency)

however, if you get one that is underpowered, you will be stretching it to its limit, and it might overload it, = boom

a sugestion would be the corsair 520W, if you can get your hands on it? :)
