Building a PC for a friend, opinions needed!

A friend asked me to build him a decent gaming rig on a budget. I haven't upgraded in a while due to monetary constraints so I'm a bit behind the times. Just wanted some expert opinions on my hardware choices. Thus far I have:

Antec 902 Case

Asus p7p55D-E Mobo

Intel i5 3.33GHz (Clarkdale)

Corsair 4GB 1600MHz 9-9-9-24

Point of View GeForce GTX260 816MB

Hitachi 1TB 32MB Cache 7200rpm

Throw in a keyboard and mouse, plus a sound card, and it comes to about £750. Max budget is 800.

What do you guys think about that machine? It'll perform pretty well for a while right? Good balance? Graphics card powerful enough? Any opinions on the cases (I've read good things about it)?

Your thoughts would be much appreciated

Hitachi drives are terrible and die alot, so swap that for a samsung spinpoint, Im not a personal fan of the Antec 900 so Id swap that for a Cooler Master HAF 922. The GTX260 is a reasonable card, but is starting to show its age a little, if budget allows I would look into getting an ati 5770 or a 5850.

Gotta agree with tom there.

I've had good exp with spinnys and wd drives over the years.

The haf is a bit of an aquired taste but if it's not on full view then not really an issue.

260's are a good price but the dx 11 option is one which must be considered on a new build.

Thank you for the replies.

Ah yes I was wondering about dx11. Do Nvidia have a dx11 iption out yet? If not, what is my cheapest ATi option?

nvidia will have there new DX11 cards out by about may time but i suspect they are gonna be very expensive

ur cheapest option will prob be a 4890 (DX10) for maybe £130 or a 5770 (DX11) at about £120

I'd have to agree if you are on a budget. Go the 5770 video card instead and then later down the tracker a crossfire setup would be nice.
