Building a new 1155 system

I made my mind up and im going for the 2500k. The K version because i will be overcloking it. If i were you, ide get the normal 'non K' version because you wont be overcloking. If its a game rig, get the 2500 or if you edit and render alot of movies or do encodeing OR just want to be EPIC and make me jealous, get the 2600.

" the i5 is the one to go for unless you Encode lots of video, want insane bench results, use other highly threaded applications, or simply like/want/need the e-peen lol.."

tbh ide probably get the 2600k if i had alot of money just to get the worst even tough i dont need it so i could rub it in my friends faces

My next build is going to be the 2600k, with the gigabyte ud7 mb.

I like the ud7 over the others for a couple of reasons, but the main one that none of the other boards but one has. That it can run 2 graphic cards at x16.

2 580s or 6970s. I like both brands and both have their strong points, so kinda a tossup there.

G.Skill 4 or 8 gb ram haven't decided. I kinda do a little of everything from photo editing to gaming.

NZXT 1000 psu to go in my white phantom case. Going for the whole white, black and blue them. Just need to change the ud7 chipset heatsinks with the ones from a ud5 and it would be perfect

Kingston or Crucial SSD. 2 1tb drives for raid storage.

Water cooled.
