I live in the US (wisconsin), and Youtube has been super slow for about a week now. Videos cant even buffer in low-def without stopping. This happens on multiple computers in my apartment and I have reset my router several times. I have AT&T Uverse service with an 18 mbit connection. I chatted with their customer service and they explained that 94% of their customers have complained about youtube being slow. Turns out Youtube is having an outage.
Okay first of all, that sounds like a made-up statistic. And a week seems like a long time to have an outage - especially for a massive company like Google that has load-balancing capabilities and is probably constantly upgrading systems. I think this ATT rep is making up excuses and is hiding the fact that my traffic is being discriminated or restricted somehow. It's just kind of hard to find out the truth. I've talked to others and they haven't had this problem. Has anyone experienced problems with youtube being less than stellar?
