Budget Shinobi Window gaming machine.

The goal was to build a decent gaming PC in a small budget. Parts are pretty expensive where I live but I'm really happy with the performance on my new little machine.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE (@ 4.02Ghz, com Noctua NH-U12P);
8GB (4x2Gb) DDR3 of Mushkin Blackline LV @ 1600mhz;
Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
Sapphire Radeon HD7870 2GB GHz OC;
Antec High Current Gamer 520W;
Hitachi 320GB 7200RPM Sata II HDD (SSD soon, when I get the moniez);
Bitfenix Shinobi Window;
Bitfenix Alchemy Extension Cables.

Now just need to get some fans for it, this version of the case didn't have them.

Final price:~550€

This was my first build ever so I'd say cabling came out pretty decent.

Benchmarks:

0

This was with the CPU at 3.8GHz and the GPU non OCed, I'm getting results in the 6600 range now.

Heaven maxed at 1080p.

Picture is way too big!
That's a decent score, now make the rig look decent =] Just a little bit of cable management should make it look good.
And we want more pics!

CPU heatsink will be pulling all the heat off the gpu mounted like that though, might be worth trying it blowing towards the back

TTL commenting on my thread, nice!
I know that it isn't the ideal position for it but I got the Noctua used from a friend and the guy had lost the other mounting brackets for AMD so I really can't switch it up. When I get some fans for the case I'll take that into consideration.

For having a non modular PSU (and damn, the cables are stiff) I think I really can't do much better than that.
And I think it looks good.

Looks good to me and on a good budget. As sed get a 24pin extension like the Alchemy one's from bitfenix Some lights would look good to. more pics

looks very nice.

i got a new shinobi germany window edition last week too for my build which hopefully will be complete in the next 2 weeks, its a great case and i hope you love yours as much as i love mine!

Well I was thinking about what Tom said about the Noctua pulling all the hot heat from the 7870 so I stopped being cheap and ordered myself a mounting bracket. Amazon surely shipped that thing fast, got it fixed now. Will try to get a picture up ASAP.

So I was watching a video from Andre Vatour on a build he made and I felt like re-doing my cables. I took some photos, here they are. They're quite noisy, sorry, I do have a DSLR but the tripod was no where to be found so I had to take these handheld at high ISOs.
Now I need some fans. Also, tell me what you guys think about the case feet mod I did.

This is how it looked like for the past 3 months, when I first built it.

Hi Musguelha17,
Your build looks quite nice , good job. Good cable management and a nice clean build.
The only thing I would change , is a sleeved 24 pin and a better power supply.

Thank you, I'm very proud of my cable management, especially considering it's a non modular PSU. This is a good quality power supply though, I'm not changing it for a while probably.
I considered an extension for the 24 pin but you can't see it trough the window and the colors don't bother me so I'll just save the 10€ and buy some game.

Very nice! looks lovely. I like the blue and silver color for your GPU power cable, nice touch with the zip tie on the end of the card :) I think everything comes together very well here.

Get rid of the white cable ties and get some black ones.

I know, I'm being Über picky now but that is literally the only thing holding it back from perfection.
