budget gaming rig

Don't go for the 2105, the only thing that makes it more expensive than a 2100 is that it has HD 3000 graphics but of course if you are getting a graphics card that won't matter.
I would massively recommend the i3 2120, it is clocked 0.2ghz higher and seeing as you can't really overclock i3's I would say that is a big bonus

If I may;

+£40 for your case, or whatever.
As you're going for an i3, the G43 is all you need :)

would it be better if i get an i5-3570k and a 6870 rather than i3-2120 and 7850?
I want this pc to last a while.
and what site is josh weston using.

For what you need, which is raw gaming performance, the i3 and the 7850 is the best choice.
P.S.

How all of that fits under £600 i'll never know :(
You should be able to get 4.2-4.4GHz with that cooler provided :)
For a that system, I really think a 430w PSU is fine. However, I believe AMD ask that you have a 500w PSU just to be safe.
If any other member here thinks that 430w wouldn't cover it, i'd bump it up to Corsair's 500w one.

That will be fine - a 3570K @ 4.4 is ~150w with a 7850 @ stock needing ~100w.
Corsair's datasheet (pg 6 of the below):
http://www.corsair.com/en/media/cms/manual/49-000036_rev_AA_CXv2Manual.pdf

States that the 430 has 336w on the 12v rail so there is probably about 50w to spare with fans and HDDs etc when under full load.

OK his choice I guess, I'm just saying that I've heard bad things about those Barracuda drives, and am loving my Caviar blue. Also, the lower end Corsair PSUs aren't nearly as good as the higher end ones, and are OEM'd by Channel Well, not SeaSonic like the AX PSUs. You're better off getting a SeaSonic IMO, pardon my American links, but I think this will still fall into budget. SeaSonic PSU

On Newegg, 157 out of maybe 700 review are 1 or two stars for that same hard drive, which usually means the hard drive was DOA or broke shortly after. Not the best odds IMO.
