Well some time during the early hours of the 11th our home phone stopped working (no dial tone or anything)

Phoned BT at they said the best they could do was Monday :s

So that wasn’t so bad

But on the 12th my sync speed was 600kbps and actual download speed was 30kbps but by the night I had lost all sync and now I have to uses someone’s unsecure wireless connection which is 8 houses down the street so I am getting 30-60kbps also when I logged into this persons router (I know I shouldn’t I noticed there sync speed was 576kbps

its actually very illegal to use others routers so i hope you have their permission

It's probs going against there ISP's terms and conditions and they could get into a fair bit of trouble if they found out.
