I Was fiddling with my oc settings after reading some tutorials etc and then testing with prime. after a while i was getting frequent BSOD Which was fine till it decided to fail starting on me D:, Straight After The Windows logo (Win 7) I Get A Flash Of a BSOD then it restarts and i get the option to repair... repair fails. so i restore to a few hours ago before i installed 3dmark (it was working after it had installed so i dont think that is the problem) Is This A Common Problem When Windows Is Crashed Quite A Few Times? And is there a way to fix it? I tried using my windows usb drive but it seems win 7 doest have the repair feature like xp used to in the setup

Also i was wondering if in the future i could boot into linux off of a usb drive and stress test on there rather than damaging my windows install in the future, would this stability relate to stability in windows? i cant see why not aslong as linux has stress testing programs.

and another thing lol... my 1090t and asrock 890fx deluxe 3 cant seem to get anywhere near 4Ghz with less than 1.5v -.- my last stable setting was something like 1.486v 3770Mhz 260 x 14.5 Have I Just Got a bad chip? or Board?

Thanks!

welcome to the forum,

chips prolly fine, it's just not a golden chip or one that might overclock well. what kind

of error code were you getting on the BSOD? this can help determine the issue

and the area that needs attention.

the repair console is in the setup files. how much RAM and what speed? any

voltage tweaks to the RAM or vcore offset? have you monitored your voltages'

for power supply issues or aliments?

it's highly recommended to install the gpu drivers manually rather than letting the windows update do it for u
