Broken fan controller on Storm Trooper, anyone dealt with CoolerMaster?

Hello peeps.

I have came home following my exam's today and as my new PSU arrived yesterday I was doing some

cable management as you do. When all was back together my house mate came in and saw everything

for the first time. So I went to show him the Storm Trooper's built in fan controller and realised it

was dead!!!

I mean WTF!!! Ive had this case for 5 weeks maximum, surely I should not be having issues already. I have

done some continuity testing with my multimeter but I am not to clued up about the whole procedure but

I can say its definitely a problem on the controller pcb and not any connecting wires.

But I guess these things happen, I'm not blaming Cooler Master as generally I am completely happy

with the product, before this I have had no problems.

So I have started this thread in the hope that someone on here can talk me through the

experiences they have had with getting things fixed with Cooler Master. preferably in the UK

as this is where I am

The built in fan controller was one of the reasons why I got the case so I am not just going to leave it.

(Oh if it helps I got it from Amazon, and I have the proof of purchase and all that goof stuff

)

And this will be the first time EVER that I will have sent anything back to a manufacturer which is why

I know nothing of how this stuff work's

if you've had it for 5 weeks send it back to amazon - don't bother messing around with RMA to companies.

Was the controller working before you changed the psu? Might be worth swapping them back if so and double checking all the connections.

I am now sending it back to amazon, I have spent the last 15 minutes reading through the return policy

and they are sending me a new one it should be here within 4 day's and I have printed a prepaid return label

and they give a link to the courier's web page and you arrange a time and place for collection of the return item.

And as its going to arrive within 4 day's what I will do is wait for it, transfer all my components into the new one

and then arrange for collection of the broken one that same day so I will not be without a case at all which

was my main worry

so, if all goes according to plan I am very happy I purchased through Amazon
