Braces!

YES! I'm FINALLY getting my braces off!

TImeline:

In 4.5 Weeks-SpiritD gets checked to makesure all gaps closed

1 or 2 weeks later- SpiritD gets his braces off

2 minutes later- SpiritD eats a really hard jawbreaker and bits on it.

3 Minutes later- SpiritD's teeth got owned by the jawbreaker

1 Week after- SpiritD picks up his retainer!

Yayyy! Fianlly bracess off since 5th grade yess

Yea that's what I'm thinking it'll feel like. Does it hurt after you get them removed? Like you know, how your teeth are sroe for like 2 weeks when you get them, did it hrut when you removed them?

I have never had them (I prefer to let my teeth go crooked and fall out naturally )

But friends of mine said it was great getting them off. They could eat anything they wanted, and something about never having rubber bands in their mouths again...

it doesn't hurt, but it does feel weird. Bascially if i could describe it feels like they are breaking your teeth out, without the pain lol. Then it tastes like a$$ cuz of the glue. After, when i would bite down on stuff like apples its pretty weird.

I had them for 18 months. I got them off a couple of months ago. Doesn't it feel great! The only reason mine hurt was because the doctor had to shine my bottom teeth and he hit the gum with the shiner. They were tender for about a week then they were fine.

I have to get braces myself soon... But thankfully, I'll probably be going with InvisiLine, which are I think will be SOO much less intrusive. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to eat what I want cause I'll have to pop em out to eat anyways

i had them too, feels weird when you first have your fixed brace, with it constantly pushing your teeth. My dentist threw me out when i had a retainer on, lets just say i wasnt the most reliable person turning up for appointments.

Nah I've been blessed with naturally straight teeth, and it's been passed onto all 3 of my kids. Felicity (AussieMum) my missus had braces when she was a teenager. Congrats on the removal spiritd

One of my nephews has a top brace. It's due to come off in a few months. It was really wierd when he first had it fitted. He was saying things like "Shaushagish 'n' Schipsh wish peash and carrotsh" and we were like "WTF are you saying kid? Get shome sherapy"

yeah, mainly happens on retainers, you cant lift your tonge high enough cus the plastic bit in the top of your mouth.

Ask them for the clear plastic retainers that just fit nicely over your teeth. People can't really notice them, can talk perfectly, and they aren't intrusive.

It didn't hurt at all, in comparison to the oral torture that was a fixed brace and a quad helix

As for retainers - you adapt within 12 hours and can speak perfectly. I just kept repeating the parts of words I couldn't say until they sounded normal again!

I looks raver stunning with them. But Jeeze try and eat a whole apple with them...

Anyhoo Im on the retainer now.. SUCKS You have to have it for the rest of your life..

I have not worn it for 3 months and im fine..
