Hi Guys

I am beginning to think the Bournemouth Annual Air Show is Jinxed, Not only have we had really bad flooding, which today looks like it never happened.....

But also a RED ARROW has crashed just outside Bournemouth Airport "After" doing today display, we have heard no news on the Pilot.....

BBC News 24

The RED ARROWS were Awesome yesterday, as I was sat on Bournemouth Pier watching them.

This could turn out to be a very sad day for Bournemouth.....

Hi,

Yeah, I saw the the flooding on the news - pretty epic.

Bad news re: the crash, haven't even turned a TV or radio on today so hadn't heard about it.

Been a fan of air shows and the red arrows since I was little... while I hope for some good news I fear the worst...

Cheers,

Worst Fears Announced!

The Pilot of the RED ARROW that crashed in Bournemouth, has died, was pronnouced dead at the scene...... He will be classed as a hero, as he stay with the hawk so that it wouldn't go down on houses, or people.......

This is sad news for Bournemouth

RIP, I think they would have noticed if he ejected, but such a shame. And I hear the plane bounced over the river after impact

Each generation of Red Arrow pilots have been nothing short of Awesome. I always remember their appearance as being one of the highlights of many of the shows I've attended.

I still remember the whole crowd jumping almost as one when they appeared from behind the main hangar area one year, the audience having been distracted by another craft so we did not hear them approaching.

wow not many people would do what he did but right now youve gotta feel sorry for his wife & family

Actually you know, I think that EVERYONE in his profession would likely do the exact same thing. It's part of who they are and why they do what they do.

But I understand what you're saying, I imagine most of us would put ourselves at risk for those we care about, but for strangers? Maybe not as readily, or instinctively.

Anyway, my thoughts are with this chaps family though this difficult time. However, despite their grief they can, remain very very proud.
