Boredum ; Random Cheap Cascade

Looked down in the workshop today, and saw a large inventory of random stuff taking over. So said what the hell, might as well do something with some stuff. So looking around I've grabbed two 1/2 hp Rechi rotary compressors, a 8" x 10" x 2" condenser with 140cfm 172mm 12v fan, a bunch of 1/4" and a bunch of 3/16" in 3/8" (for HX, though might grab some 1/2" for a 1/4" in 1/2"), no real need for an oil sep, a spare Chilly1 evap, and looking thru for a spare 36" flex line.

Pics Tomarrow of parts as I begin to throw it together.

Going to run r22, and r22+co2.

Yep using the rotaries I was going to use in the original cascade, but this will be tighter, smaller, and sexy-ish.

Then I'll probably sell it for $500 only.

Might have a buyer ;)

Hahah I have plenty of 3" pipe lying around, might whip up a dry ice pot or something, boredum is the true father of invention.

Pics later as I finish up piping tonight.

Havent zip tied up the HX yet, but theres the first stage minus capillary. Gotta shroud the condenser still, but I'll find a way to do it with everything already setup :P

Huge desuperhater as you can see, its 8 feet of 1/4" pipe.

2nd Stage will have one just as big, then straight into HX after a filter, and one more filter as it leaves HX most likely.

-60C or colder, all built up now except putting in and tuning capillary lines. Thining I'll go short for quad core capability.

Hmmm more pics in a little while.

Onto the pics, all stages just need capillary tubed in (though evap has its brazed in already). Going to run 8' to evap, 7' to HX. Lower high side pressures and/or quad core capability.
