Boost Perforance of Quadro 4000

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help me... I have a customer of mine using a Quadro 4000 in his workstation doing CAD work, now I remember a video Linus Done where he got a GTX 680 to boost the power of the Quadro... now is that something that I can setup to run all the time or is that an Application Specific Thing like the the Adobe Suite.
