Bodybuilding/Powerlifting

Saw your arms conversation earlier and wanted to measure mine to see where I stand. To be fair I'm not sure if I need to be proud or ashamed of my 14" arms, I've been training for almost 16 months now but I've only started training proper upperbody for the past 5-6 months.

Going to go into the gym in a few hours for my first morning session and then a night session tonight before maxing tomorrow afternoon.

So f'ing pissed right now, I didn't manage to beat my 5km pb by 3 seconds.....3 goddamn seconds. my best time is 25:35 and today I did it in 25:38, goddamit! :(

My arms are only 14" dude, they are my hardest area to grow, they used to be 12", they don't look much but tensed they have good shape with delts. Considering your tri's are 3/4 of your arm, my tris are piss poor, only have a cut in but no real bulk.

the trainee will not be joining me today as she is a wimp lol!! but im gonna ruin the gym today!!

I just did some more circuit based from Zuzka last night, pretty hard last night. Just doing a bit of diet research atm.

Damn boy, I wanted a picture of dat ass!

Today was a good chest day, lift heavy and did a decent amount of reps. I have one question for you guys, is it only me that feels like that I can't gain muscle mass, I am getting stronger as I can lift heavier for more reps but I look exactly the same as I did 6 months ago, a friend of mine went to the gym for two weeks and already looks better than me. My chest looks like a person that sits on their ass all day long with the only difference that I can bench 60kg easily. My biggest problem is my biceps, they can't seem to grow no matter how hard I train them. So is it only me or does anyone else feel the same way? Maybe it's genetics I don't know at this point, muscle gets denser not bigger, that's the theory I've come up with so far.

Edit: I've also seen women with biceps bigger than mine -.-

Do you want to be stronger or just to have big and "good looking" muscles?
there is a big difference in training. and you really have to eat right. trying to loose weight and gaining muscle will not work.
8-10 reps 4 set 45s-1min break between the sets. 4-5 exercises per muscle croup. should get you some results. if you want bigger biceps train them twice a week to get started. this if you want bigger muscle.
For strength ask some one who knows about power lifting.

I found the same with myself a until a year ago, you just need to train like a monster. My training partner was the same height, weight and pretty much same strength as me, but he was 35 and had tons more experience and was an amateur and professional boxer a few years back. We just trained heavy all the time.

I do find that doing lighter weight and more reps helps also though. But it does come down to diet...

I trained just biceps last night as I was mega pushes for time, I figured that swearing and grinding my teeth gives me great intensity to keep pushing past the burning. I was actually saying "I'm gonna look like the f'ing Rock!" lol, well it worked.

whats your diet like?

I keep my diet to maintance, I don't count macros but I eat mostly carbs followed by protein and an low-mid amount of fats, then I train like a mofo to get the calorie deficit I need to lose the fat. If it can help I have a plan on my wall that guides me whenever I'm not sure what to eat which I can post here.

i think you need to revisit your diet, and back off the carbs, and more protein, you need to make sure you get enough protein as your muscles wont mend and grow enough if you cant keep them topped up!

Maybe we should have a "suns out guns out" photo sesh?

Tom man, you're looking really really good!! i remember watching your videos from about a year ago, to now, and the improvement is drastic to say the least! are you planning on cutting or forever bulking?

Oh cmon guys I thought this thread would be full of your pictures by now, well I'll continue after Tom.

This is me just before starting the core workout, for some reason I look better before.

Today I maxed out my deadlift (again), 82kg felt easy. I need to get more weights so I can target to hit 100kg on squats, deadlifts and with some serious work the benchpress.

When I bought the site in december everything went to shit training slipped and my diet was crap plus I was stressed out to the max, in may I was 15 stone 6 (210lbs)

As of today Im 13.11 (193lb) but Ive not made any massive changes to my diet yet other than eating healthy. I go to the gym for the fitness and to get out of the office, also gives me something other than work to talk about.
