Bluetooth dongle - BlueSoleil

I bought a bluetooth dongle a while back to transfer mp3's etc onto my phone, it did the job and I never used it again.

I have now changed my phone, but during that time I've changed mobos/reformatted.

I can't find the little driver disk - I might have even thrown it out!!!

It asks for drivers for 'isscbta' - i googled a bit and found some, installed them, everything looked as it should, but then a message popped up to say the device was unregistered and I was only allowed to transfer 5mb :(

I uninstalled those drivers...

Now what?

Thanks

I have one of these, i find plugging it in and using the microsoft bluetooth service works better - unless mine is plug and play and urs isnt

the drivers you had are the correct ones, they charge for them as you can see. So you may have to buy them again, or try and get in touch with them and explain your situation.

I'll look for the driver disk harder as the dongle is an unbranded 2 quid jobbie!

Do you mean contact BlueSoleil?

Where is the ms bluetooth service? Looked in my connections... ? Do I need to turn it on! I'm hungover and feeling 'special' so apologies for being a foolio.

Thanks for the help though

lol, hungover here too - i just plugge dit in and windows detected it and there was a bluetooth icon in the taskbar :)

Aaah welcome to the hangover club, your stay here will be unpleasant lol

OK, well it isn't auto detecting.

Note: Each BlueSoleil version is free downloaded from BlueSoleil.com, and it works. But if your Bluetooth device is not licensed with this version, BlueSoleil will run with 5M DATA limitation.

Sounds like the latest BlueSoleil version 2.3 doesn't support your bluetooth adaptor. Maybe older versions will? I have version 1.6.1.4 on a little CD, maybe that will be licensed for your adaptor?

Eeuuhh...:

1. ... wtf?

3. ... thread resurrect?

2. ... warez? I guess... I understood the drivers need a license...

I have the same thing, the driver disk was a tiny one. I just installed another bluetooth handler, havent used it in ages though.
