Blue Screen When ccc Is Installed... Actually Im Just Dense :(

After having a blue screen straight after the windows logo and being unable to fix it i did a fresh install of windows. Which seemed all good at first but then I installed the latest catalyst driver 12.4 and the same thing happened

So I restred and tried 12.3 and the same thing happened but without blue screen (windows logo, black screen, post screen) tried 12.2 and the same as 12.4. i was running on 12.3 before this problem started (after fiddling with oc settings but have cleared cmos now) just bought the witcher 2 and cant play it :'(!!!

Just typed this out and had a brain wave -.-, after looking in the manual of my Mobo lastnight reading post codes i looked through my graphics card's one and see the bios switch has a quiet and performance mode (notice i had it set to quiet mode and switch it yo performance), ages ago i was messing about unlocking it to a 6970 and must have corrupted this bios (never did get it unlocked) i had switched it while the system was running and by the time i came to restart it i had forgotten all about this, so when the driver was loading it will have run into errors of some sort. God Damn I Just Formatted my drive and had some useful stuff on there!! AHHHH!H!HH!!H!... Ahh!.. argh! Flicked It Over And All Is Fine.
