Think I've Blown my 3 yr old Nvidia 8800 Ultra - last night launched COD4 [For a change - want a rest from Spec Ops]- on mission start froze then spectacular crash - BSD/reboot corrupted graphics/auto reboot etc

Started in safe mode but have blue vertical lines on screen - bit of a tinker check/clean connections reboot in normal mode but Nvidia control panal states I am not using a display attached to a Nvidia GPU.

Pretty sure its the Graphics card but open to any observations from you masters of this Forum - also open to suggestons of replacement [uk]. Not as affluent as I was 3 years ago so will have to be sub £200.00. and able to compliment my Core2Quad [2.93GHz] rig

the gtx 460 has good custom design cards that overclock well. I think it'll run CoD V Sync'd at max settings.

another 8800 ultra bit the dust
