Black screen

hello, so on Monday night I built my new computer;

Asus p8Z68 deluxe

I7 2600k at 4.0 ghz

HIS 6950

corsair 16gb low profile

corsair ax850

fractal r3

4 noctua p12

and 3-5m in to any game I get a black screen, music and system is still running but I can not see anything, I played BF3 and when it cut out i was only at 66c on the gpu. any ideas?

well... all i can suggest is to make sure your drivers are up to date as well as your BIOS :/

Check the connectors that they are fitted properly. If you got more then one dvi/dp on the backside of gpu i would try and connect to them and see if picture comes. Do you have another monitor you can test? Read manual for monitor just to see if there are some strange adjustments that might cause this issue. Most screens are just plug and play but you never know

I just popped the card in to another computer pc and the same problem and the card was very very very hot.

looks like im sending this back.
