Bitfenix release Fury PSU series

Bitfenix, we all know them from the Prodigy and the tonnes of variation on this case by themselves, but also by other manufacturers. This time Bitfenix are back, but with power supplies. Will they be innovative once again?

For a long time, the power supply is one part of the PC that users prefer to remain unseen. These dull, lifeless boxes were made to perform in the background, away from sight. Challenging the status quo, BitFenix set out to make a power supply that not only delivered on a performance level, but also utilized enough design elements to let it stand out in a system build. To that end, BitFenix announces the Fury Power Supply Series. Featuring top quality components like all Japanese capacitors, a killer design aesthetic, and top-notch efficiency, Fury is set to become the new gold standard in semi-modular power supply units.

The Bitfenix Fury comes in a few different wattages, the 550G, 650G and 750G.

So far, the features look pretty good. There's also a spec sheet for those interested:

But what do the actual units look like? Any innovation here? Yes.
The Bitfenix Fury power supply units are semi-modular. The only cable that appears to be attached to the unit is the 24 Pin, and it's individually sleeved!

What about all the other cables? Yes, they are too :)

The BitFenix Fury Power Supply Series delivers a trifecta of performance, reliability, and aesthetics like no other PSU before it. From the brushed aluminum accents and stamped BitFenix logos, to the metallic fan grill and powder coated exterior, Fury is the first PSU designed to not be hidden away, but shown off. The semi-modular design allows for better cable management, and the cables themselves are sleeved with Alchemy sleeving for a premium look. Beyond good looks, Fury delivers the performance and reliability demanded by today's modern hardware with 80Plus Gold certification, single-rail power delivery, and active power factor correction. Equipped with exclusive BitShield™ Six-Point Protection and a five-year warranty, users can count on Fury to power their systems day-in and day-out.

Here at OC3D, most people like to place their PSU 'upside down', in other words 'fan side up'. Let's be honest, those stickers on the top of power supplies aren't all that great to look at. Bitfenix appears to realize that too and has replaced the stickers with a nice design.

Personally, I'm pretty excited for the reviews on these units. If they are any good, they might be great little units for 'budget' builds, offering enough performance while still looking great with the braided cables.

The PSU and Cables look really nice, but would be good if they offered the cables in a variety of different colours and also a 850 and 1000 model.

ooooooh, these do look promising :O.
It appears to be basically Be Quiet! psus (so the OEM is FSP) from what I can find, so they're a pretty decent alternative to the usual choices.

But doesn't it have a fugly sticker on the front if you put it 'fan up'. By providing a solution to the original problem of 'fan or sticker' they have introduced a new one and made having the fan up look hideous and the fan down look hideous (IMO)
