I already ordered 5 fans, 4 120mm and 1 200mm and thinking now I probably wont fit the 120mm next to the psu with the AX1200 there and I also wanted to ask is there anyway I'll get the 200mm in the front? didn't realize it was a 230mm untill now and they come tomorrow and theres no way to cancel.

Thanks

Mount them with tape, lots of tape. No I'm just kidding, I haven't had any experience with the Colossus.

You should have read my Project Log lawl.

First up, the AX1200 with fan issue. I have the bottom fan installed, and I can easily see about 5cm gap. The AX1200 is 4cm longer than the AX850, which is what i have in my system. I also have a 140mm fan in the bottom, so you will easily fit your fan in.

Next, the 200mm fits easy, or mine does. I have the CoolerMaster MegaFlow Blue 200mm, it fits perfectly.

I have 1x 140mm exhaust, 2x 140mm top fans (you have to fit them in cleverly though), 1x 140mm bottom fan, 1x 200mm front fan.

All the 140mm fans are Noctua NF-P14 FLX.

Also, I've attached the bottom fan using spare motherboard standoffs.

And my case has the same space as yours, you just have the cool lighting side panel

Mine is the non windowed version with the windowed side panel seperate and I was looking at the front fan just now and I dont seem to see any mounts for the 200mm but If I'm stuck I'll post back here or message you tomorrow.

Nice!

The mounts are the same.

The reason why the CoolerMaster 200mm fan will fit is because its screws are on the very edge of the fan. However the BitFenix Spectre fans inside have the screws inside the plastic frame. That's where some of the gap comes from.

Anyway, it fits, so if you want a replacement fan, that's the one to get

Well I spent 1 hour and a half trying to fit the fans and never even got 1 fan in, they give u screw holes but no indentations for the screws so its so hard to screw in, I get half way there and then the screw goes no further and it also turns out that the back is a 140mm fan so I'll have to put the fan from the D-14 there and put the sickleflow in its place.

I've given up trying to fit any just now because it's just impossible for the screw to go in

Which fans are you having trouble with? All of them?

The rear on mine definitely has 120mm and 140mm mounts for sure O.o

The top two would definitely fit 2x 120mms, you might have to jiggle them (I fitted the NF-P14s, one had the 140mm adapter, one didn't)

I can't see the bottom, will open it up and tell you later.

Na they all fit except the rear one because it has no 120mm mount but the trouble is actually screwing the screw in, even though there's holes for the screws theres no pattern in it for the screw to screw it so its a real fight trying to get it in and then it just stops half way.

OK, here is what my rear looks like (no pun intended

So you can see the 120mm mounts (where the screws are), and then the 140mm. I'm not sure why I haven't used the 120mm mount, maybe I thought that using the 140mm adapter on the fan would dampen more vibration, but oh well.

Yeh I only have the 140mm option some how (probably cause it's the non-windowed version which came out first) I'll try again at the fans tomorrow but it's just so hard to get the screws in, I mean 1 hour and a half and I hadn't even gotten 1 fan in.

See you could try it with a cable tie going through the holes, I have no idea what kind of vibration that would give you though. Have you thought about perhaps returning the fan and getting a 140mm one instead? Might be an idea

Probably cost me more money than to just buy one, probably just put a sickle flow in it's place if I'm able to get the clip of of the fan on the D-14

FINISHED!! tried a loads a different screwdrivers and one was easy, temps are lower and when they are on low setting the fans are near silent but when they are turned up they really are loud, I tend to leave mine on low permanently cause temps are fine even on low while gaming, also because the rear was 140mm I mounted the extra 120mm fan on the windowed side panel next to the cpu so that got extra airflow as if there was a rear fan.

Probably put them at medium during gaming as it is quiet like that too.

Thanks for the help especially Ya93sin, may even get a mega flow to replace that spectre and things will be even better and maybe get a 140mm for the rear.

One problem though and had this since I built it, the computer makes a weird noise, the noise your pipes in the attack make, I'm thinking it's the hard drive and maybe I should do some tests with it? I'm probably getting a 2nd 1tb drive so I could check that way to see if its the hard drive.

Edit: All I need now is some Blue LED strips and that's me which I'll get from special tech, the ones Tom reviewed.

I don't mind the fans at max tbf, but I notice the top fans make the most noise, perhaps because they are pushing air through that mesh

That MegaFlow is great, for me anyway it made a nice difference, plus it still has the LED (just uses the 3 pins though, no connection into the case's own control panel)

I may flip the NH-D14 back the wrong way because I just reached 60c with fans roughly on medium which is still higher than what I had before but still all good, think the megaflow would make a good difference.

May have to put the intake at the front running of the motherboard so it's at max all the time cause my hard drive reaches 44c while gaming
