This is probably my 3rd post about cases but I just can't decide

I decided on the 650D over the HAF X but now after seeing the BitFenix Colossus with a window, I'm wondering again.

So which would be better for space, temps and cable management?

or

Thanks

Well i have the collossus, it has amazing space and great cable management as its a full tower chassis but, the 650D would be a better "air cooled" chassis as it is smaller, then again i dont thing youll see a huge difference in temps.....the collosuss will also future proof you to an extent as you can fit big motherboards inside so yh.

hope that helps

but i think the collosuss look better

Yeh the collossus does look AMAZING, I originally wanted that but it didn't have a side window so I didn't go with it but now that i've seen this I want it but I don't just want to go with it because of looks.

From what you've said it seems like a good choice to go with the Colossus then. I was wanting to go with the original colossus and buy the windowed side panel separate then I'd have blue and red LED's but where do you get the side panel?

yup thats what i did as i bought the collossus b4 the windowed version came out.

i purchased the side panel HERE

they have both the black one or the white one.

the good thing about the originnal collusus is the fan controller, the usb 3.0 and the led on the other side panel

Thanks, definitely buying the original colossus and the side panel separate as the original one just seems so much better.

Looked at your rig too and very very nice but whats the difference between the p67 and z68?

Thanks, its not finished yet, its gonna b watercooled
biggrin.gif
and its having a complete make over, all in due time...

the difference is not much, 1st its newer so theres more support for it i belive from what ive seen and heard it seems the manufacturers are turning their attention to Z68.... if you havent bought your board yet get a z68 not much price difference.

the main differences is

that Z68 = H67 + P67 so it includes intergrated graphics with outputs (on some models)

its a combination of both with the added feature of SSD caching.

not much but hey its new

didn't you mod a window on your side panel? or did you buy the side panel after you modded one?

lol yup, i modded the panel, first mood was ok but i didnt want the drive rack to be visable so when the panel was avaliable, i just bought one

Me too, I was going to go with a HAF X but the window wasn't big enough so decided the 650D but now I've seen this lol.

You got any pictures of the side panel cause scan dont have any?

Btw how easy is watercooling a CPU? I've seen you're starting it or have done so because I plan on doing it in the future once I get more money after I buy my 2nd 580 lightning.

Thanks

its definatly not as hard as it seems but a great element of care, time and detail is required as we all know the consequences of failiure, Tom did a begginers guide to watercooling, check it out....

although TTL makes it look simple (for him it prob is), its challenging and he points out key things to aid you in your watercooling adventure.

once i finish mine ill let you know how it is, currentlyall i have in the case is the radiator the rservoir and pump (combo) and a drain pipe.

youll c in the pics tomoro

but as long as you do you research, youll b fine
