Bitdefender Gamesafe

I've been looking into this and it looks quite good, only uses 5mb of ram (so it says). It's basically a slimmed down version of Internet Security 2008.

This good or should I go for a different AV?

Previous experiences with BitDefender (original not slimmed down!) will make me tell you to try it out. Any form of trial?

But I will recommend ESET NOD32 to you.

Eset nod32 again

Its light enough

Like the lowest false positives

Not quite as good detection as avira but only like 2% in it but runs better and a hell of a lot less FPs

Iv tried others in the past, yet i still go back to eset

Know a student/are one? You can get 50% off the cost (1 year = £15 !)

Id say you need a mix of both tox,

Sure i havent had any alerts yet

but with the amount of "drive by" attacks i wouldnt want to risk having a keylogger present wen using credit cards etc.

i have allways used nothing but this seems to be pretty good

low memory usage and havent noticed any decrese in performace in game

but what is the detection, cleaning and false positives like?

i found when i tried others to eset nod32, a lot were finding clean files and viruses and some (kapersky for example) slowed me down too much

Never used one never will.

I now know the registry like the back of my hand. I know the HDD layout too. Any dodgy files/programs I will pick up on.

But really it all comes down to not clicking random links.

We're only humans Tox. We vary. The smart people who can avoid most mistakes won't need an anti-virus (e.g. Tox ;)) and there are us who just like to be careful...
