Bitcoins

Has anybody got any news about feathercoins?

They're about $130 as of today. The didn't lose all their forward momentum after going vertical to over $250 a while back it seems.

I wouldn't invest in them, but they have their usages like avoiding capital controls, and the anonymity they offer is awesome. If they were to fall a bit, I'd probably buy a few as a middle finger gesture to the powers that be.

Litecoins ;)

hey guys, just trying to get into this litecoin. Holding onto a hunch that they will rise when places start accepting them, and the difficulty raises.

Is there anyway i can easily go about picking some up with £ at the moment. i had a bit of a headache last night trying to find a simple way to do it...

Also has OC3D consider starting any pools ?

https://btc-e.com/exchange/ltc_usd One of the cheapest places to get them, mining isnt really worth it in my opinion, OC3D doesnt have any pools a the minute but if we all came together we could.

I was wondering just how well my 2x 670's would do at bitcoin mining.

Not very well it appears! 211 Mhps (0.21 Ghps) would take 755 years solo mining per block (0.0001 BTC per 24 hours). (Profitability calculator)

This is despite the watercooled and overclocked gpus. It appears that AMD gpu's are far better, but it'll all be moot once ASIC's are the norm.

The Bitminter test program I got from here. It's Java, and with all things Java, I can't vouch for it's legitimacy, remember to clear your Java cache once you're done playing.

I don't think Bitcoin mining will be my new pastime; I'll use the gpu's for their intended purpose :).

Well, ASICs are already the norm for Bitcoin mining ;)
AMD GPUs are still profitable when mining different Alt-Coins like GrandCoin, FastCoin or Noirbits tho.

Impressive that your cards show as much as they do, Nvidia cards aren't known for being anywhere close to good hashers ;)

Looking back at the prices that were being cited in the first few pages of the thread - making me sick :(
Hoping they continue to climb :)
