Bit of a newbie

Hey finally built a desktop so I could stop gaming on my lappy and thought to myself, why not try and become a regular on these forums too?

Here's the new rig (still a work in progress but I feel pretty sweet so far)

And yes I know the case is choking the card but I won it and felt the need to use it until I complete the build at least.

System Specs:
Case: Fractal Design Define Mini
CPU: Intel i7 4770k
Cooler: Corsair H60
Mobo: Asus Gryphon Z87
GPU: EVGA GTX 780ti
PSU: Corsair GS800
HDD: 3x Western Digital Green 3tb
SSD: 2x Samsung 840 EVO 256gb
RAM: 2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866MHz
Optical: LG Blu-Ray combo
Monitors: Dual Dell U3014

Maybe take the top hard drive cage out to get some air directly onto the GPU. You can put the SSD's anywhere behind the motherboard tray.

Not to sure how much room you got behind the case. but could maybe try some cable management with all those PSU cables But having had a GS corsair one i know how much of a pain that can be ;p

But you've got some pretty awesome hardware in there

Yea it's already a struggle to put the side panel back on since there's bugger al space left back there lol. Knew I should have gone with a modular PSU lol. Surprisingly there's plenty of air flow getting through that HDD cage to the point where the fan never goes over 65% and I never hear it
And Cheers! haven't managed to find a game yet that the system struggles with and hopefully it stays like that for a while lol.

Take out the top hard drive bay and get a new PSU. After that it will be a completely new rig just by looking at the difference in aesthetics

Could put the ssd under the bottom of the last hard drive bay to keep it hidden.

Yea but my ultimate plan is once I move to my new place, I'll be able to go all out on the PC, probably even take my first dip into true water cooling Then this mobo + cpu will retire to become an HTPC.

It's got a solid side panel so no point for me to clean up the cables more than I already have

Before I took my second GPU upgrade it didn't lol. Originally had a GTX 770 SC which ended up benching Bioshock Infinite 0.1 fps more than my lappy Oo. That's when I thought sod it. I'll go for the top of the range for a change Glad I did

Yeah I can't think of many laptops that could hold up to a 770 SC that's still a beast of a card

Yea it is a beastly lappy lol. i7 3930qm, 16gb ram, dual 256gb ocz vertex 4 ssd's in raid 0, and sli gtx 680m's.

I like to keep each of my libraries on their own dedicated drives. 1 for Movies, 1 for TV series and 1 for my Anime

Well I may have caught the bug

There's been a few additions and improvements done. I'm just waiting for my next batch of goodies to arrive before I can complete the build. I'm waiting on my new psu Corsair AX860 to improve upon the gs800m, and for a 280mm rad and my gpu waterblocks + backplates.

The new spec of the system is:
CPU: i7 4770k
Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Hero
Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16gb 1866mhz
GPU: Dual EVGA GTX 780ti
PSU: Corsair GS800
SSD: Dual Samsung EVO 256gb
HDD: Triple WD Green 3tb
Cooling: XSPC RayStorm D5 Photon AX360 Water Cooling Kit.

And yes this is my first time doing proper water cooling, thus the kit and noob placement of the res. I've got the res there for the time being at least since I'm planning on putting the 280mm rad in the front intake.
