BIOS Update, affecting RAID?

Hi all,

Sorry if this is answered in another thread, I used the search function, couldn't find anything, sooo....

I have a Asus Crossfire IV Formula motherboard with an 1090T in it, at BIOS 0402 and am wondering if I update the BIOS to the latest 1304 I will loose my RAID 0 (2* Samsung F3 1TB 7200) setup. This would be bad for me, as while I backup important data regularly, I have about ~ 1TB of data I simply don't have room to backup, and while it is replacable, games ect, I would rather not bother, So would updating my BIOS likely disrupt my array?

Many thanks, Andy

nope you'll be fine you'll have to reset the raid option in the bios. but once done abd rebooting you'll see the raid again as it was

I need to dl that bios to a flash drive lol I'll be getting my CHIV this coming week

I have updated, went flawlessly, should have made a note of overclock settings mind, had to find them all again and set them. Ohh well, at least the RAID worked straight again after settings it to RAID mode in BIOS!

And it's a great board, hope you enjoy your time with it as much as I have with mine, great little overclocker. What CPU are you getting/have you got to go with it?

Thanks,

Andy
