BF3 Clan

It's worth it, is the main oc3d platoon still active? I wanted to join it when i was new here but nobody seemed to be active there and then i joined the second platoon james made

I haven't done the most research, but the only expansion that sort of intrigues me is the close quarters one - i'm a sucker for close quarters action. Is there anything special that the others bring to the table?

Well the others are big original sized battlefield maps with lots of vehicle action so it might just be worth getting the standard Russian version and then getting the Close Quarters expansion separate.

I really like the CQB maps but I'm better on the big tank maps from btk and ak, not sure what the upcoming packs bring to the game

I've not played in over 3 weeks now. Very little time because of Uni. I can't remember if I can delete inactive members. I will have to login and check.

As I'm barely on because of uni either, there's not much point in me being in charge of the group.
Papasmurf and SieB have been promoted - whatever that actually does..?

I don't think we've actually ever done anything since that group was made anyway. The most I've ever seen actually on has been like 4 - and half of them are just signed in and not playing anyway.

I've never really found PC gaming particularly sociable. That's why I got an xbox...then I realised xbox sucked, so I came back to PCs to play on my own with decent graphics.

Graphics > Friends :p

What are these "friends" you speak of?

Haha just to let you know, I'm right there with you guys, uni (which I'm assuming is English talk for school) is killing me as well. That and the fact that my computer has been in pieces for the last month, I've not been getting a lot of play time in either. Appreciate the promotion though, even though I'm not sure what it does either. Oh and I've been starting to get some guys onto the PC gaming scene. We play Minecraft some nights just for fun but now they want to build their own PCs cuz they're jelly of my rig :) If I can get that to happen, I'd be happy.

For the majority of the UK:

4-11 years old = Primary School
11-16 years old = Secondary School
16-18 years old = College (including Sixth Form)
18-n = University

School is compulsory up until the age of 16, after which you can leave.
College = Further Education
University = Higher Education (which is where you get your fancy degrees, and what not)

What can I say,Sieb seems to love it all-he has done the WF thing, this goes to show the idiots from the vets.

Come at me COD kiddies

Weird thing. I just refreshed the servers and found only 3 online in each expansion. I selected every region, Normal (in Preset), ranked and punkbuster (in detailed). Is bf3 dead ? :(

What? I play games for fun, which is the only thing that matters to me. I bought WF for the SP and at 50% off I ain't moaning.

Sometimes I don't want to have to play tactically like in BF3 and I just want to run around killing people, this is where CoD comes in, or my prefered choice BF3 Close Quarters.

I enjoy both tactical gamplay and mindless action, people need to pull their head out of their ass and stop thinking they are some l33t pro player who is above everyone else because they think that playing games is serious business.

Just because someone enjoys having fun playing games like CoD doesn't mean they don't also enjoy the tactical thinking of BF. Most people have been playing battlefield for years, I only started with BF3 but before that I have been playing much more tactical games like Conflict Desert Storm, SOCOM, Rainbow Six, SWAT and other similar games.

Calling people idiots just because they play games for fun instead of acting all elitist makes you the idiot, pull your head out of your ass, i'd love BF3 to be more tactical and less of a console port. But it's not, deal with it.

Finally got Premium, entered the code yesterday but didn't get to play it.

DAMN INTERNET!!! Took ages for me to down CQ and AK, very rubbish speeds from o2, but its soo close to weekend so i look to get into the maps for a good few hours :)

I find Battlefield to be the kind of game that you play loads then get bored of it for ages and then one day re discover it and play loads and so on and so on, currently I am on a 2 week holiday so I am playing loads :D
