best way to wire up a closed loop

My itx mobo only comes with 2x 4pin fan headers 1 is fan chassis and the other cpu.
Most closed loops have a 3 pin for the pump, so I was wondering Could I get away with plugging it upto the motherboard or should I plug it upto the psu.

Would rather have it going to motherbard (itx build less cables the better)

I think AIO pumps are meant for plugging into the motherboard, hence the 3-pin connection rather than a molex, so it shouldn't be a problem.

pumps are better off on a molex --> 3pin because the voltage and the amps are more consistent, resulting in better performance, but tbh most people don't do that. plugging it into your mainboard will work just fine.
