best PSU?

hey guyz

whats the best PSU for me?

my system has:

Opty 170 @ 2.6 (more when i get watercooling)

2x 1gb g.skill ram

3X SATA HDDs

2X DVD-RW

1X DVD-ROM

2x CCFL (UV)

1x DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR EXPERT mobo

1x 6600GT PCI-E (prob gonna upgrade at a later date

currently i have a Hiper 580W Type-R Modular

the 12v rail is at 11.90, some other ones arent that gr8 either.

and i despise the modular design.

im lookin at roughly the same power, maybe 600/650w

price: about £120

ne help would be awesome.

Gonna have to go with Frag on this one. I love my PC P&C power supply. My conroe build is going to have one also. It is rock stable no matter what it seems. Yes they are a little more expensive but most of the time you get what you pay for. Just my .02

Second from the bottom And as twisted was saying, quite easily the best PSU maker on the market right now. The peak wattage of that PSU is above 600w iirc.

tbh the type R should be fine. Are you getting that 11.9 off a meter or a program/bios?

Yeah i'd check ur voltages with a multimeter before buying a new psu based on those voltages. My NF4, and this AW8 are totally out when it comes to reporting voltages.

yea check the volts in the bios (incase youre using a program) to be sure. my typeR is at 12.23 and im loading it right up. one program reported my 3.3v as 1.3 and i was like
