I'm on a hunt for a new pair of excellent sound quality noise cancellation earphones for under 100$. I listen to rock and electronic mainly. Any suggestions??? The earphones should preferably be available on newegg or amazon...

Currently using a very old pair of aiwa earphones and an old jvc headphone that just sounds flat.

Well then I would advise SoundMAGIC PL11, I own them and listen to mostly metal (thrash, mdm, etc). They sound better than anything in their price range (~$20) and I would say beat most headphones up to 50 bucks. They include variety of earbuds and do cancel a lot of noise.....

I know they might seem like too cheap, but read up on the on the internet, and you'll see that its a good option. One thing though, if your ear channels are extremely small, like mine, the small earbuds that come in the pack might not fit, and you might need to get some extra, but its shouldn't be a problem for 99% of people. Good luck

as much as i dont like it, BOSE makes the best noise cancellation headphones. I dont think you are going to find to many good ones under $100. Tinytom made a good suggestion but on ear headphones do a better job. The closest thing you are going to get with studio quality sound and good noise cancellation would be the Klipsch Image one headphones, and those are $150.

My personal preference would always be noise isolating headphones over noise cancelling. I use Shure SE115m+ headphones for everything. Klipsch do make some extremely good headphones though.
