Best motherboard for clocking an E6300 (highest FSB)?

Can anyone tell me which board is consistently producing the highest FSB results and how high they've been seeing? I'm interested in unlocking the full potential of my CPU and RAM with a bit stronger board. The AB9 is great, but the BIOS's are absolutely terrible. I was able to get an extra 100 fsb with a simple BIOS change which indicates to me they are having some serious BIOS issues.

What board do you suggest for super high FSB speeds?

With lower multiplier chips, the chipset will run at a slower speed, there is a long thread on XS about this.

As is there long pointless threads about just about everything.

The AW9D Max is a very nice clocking board. Someone is supposed to have had 600FSB upon reboot into BIOS

True that haha, but this was quite informative.

Yeah, I'd read some of the Core 2 Duo stickies in the Intel section @ XS, Frag. They're very informative and more than 15 pages long. They have tips, tricks, links to other FAQ's, etc.

Yeah I've been doing that, I've been getting a lot of suggestions for the P5B Deluxe, how do u like urs Kemp?

I have the P5W DH Deluxe and not that keen tbh

Jim has the P5B and he likes it :)

Maybe you should wait for the DFI R600 board, that should be good if they don't screw it up.

I've heard that it's looking VERY promising :yumyum:

isnt the general consensus that the p965 chipsets clock the allendales better than the 975x chipsets? or is that just a myth.

I would say it's true. Most records on XS with Allendales are set on a P965. The Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 and the Asus P5B DLX seem to be the best FSB-overlockers...

I'd wait for R600 tbh.

I say it's true also, just because the 965 can reach 500+FSB easy with a good bios and some mods (certain boards.) Then again, I've seen 975x do 500FSB modded on a P5W64 WS (See: Sexy) It's the board on the right.

is there an expected release date on the r600?

Soon. I have some info on it. The most I can say is it does 500FSB easy and it does DDR2-1000 @ 1T on NON-D9
