Best Mechanical Gaming Keyboard For Under £100

Hey guys, for a while now I have had a crappy £5 keyboard I got from Argos. I have decided that I am ready to splash some cash on a nice mechanical keyboard.

So simple question, what is the best one in your opinions that I can get for under £100

Thanks :)

The new line of Corsairs look alright - even though they're Cherry Red.

Look at something with Browns if you really want the best.

But Reds are far better than membrane keys so whatever people say about Reds, they'll still be a lot nicer than what you have.

Never even heard of them tbh. Don't know any decent keyboards that use them anyway.

I like my K90 for gaming. It's not great for typing though as any small glide of a key results in a press...so you get a lot of typos.

It's more about what you want from it tbh. Different people like different keys, and I don't really think reading words like 'feedback' and 'tactile' or whatever online really helps when you've never used a mechanical keyboard before, and so have nothing to base it on.

Not so much for me then, although I would like keys that have a good feel when you press them if you know what I mean lol Is there a type that would be good for that?

Errrm...any.

They'll all feel so much better than your current one.

You can buy individual keys if you want to play around:

As for the Duckys - they're good...I guess? But they keys are all Cherry, so it's just a company that offers different switch types on their boards. Not that many other companies do that, in the UK at least, so they're pretty good for what we have.
I wouldn't exactly suggest buying a Ducky with Red switches over a K90 though...

Maybe wait for the K95 and K70 to come out though.

Wow, I just looked up the K95 and it looks so good :O

And after reading one article i see it is scheduled for a release this month xD

I will say not to rush at the moment with buying mechanical keyboard, as quite lots of nice stuff showed on CES 2013, will came out pretty soon. So I think that is worth waiting.

Really the best thing to do is to get down to PCWorld and have a feel of the different switches. They are really hard to imagine accurately if you have never used a mech keyboard before.

Unfortunately were I live there is no and I literally mean no pc related stores at all, In order to go to a pc world It would mean getting a ferry or a plane lol

Agreed with Raven.

I was personally looking at this one, am curious for its price:

Thanks:D
That keyboard looks really good:)
Also just to throw into the contest about mechanical switches, I think that red are great switches, but I quite lacking the feedback that key will provide after pressing, and to learn how to type fast and properly is quite a challenge:) Sometimes I'm pressing 2/3 keys at the same time:lol:, just because I don't fell when key is pressed. But overall impressions are JUST GREAT, and coming from normal keyboard to mechanical is a HUGE difference! At lest for me:)
I would like to try out blue and browns.

CORSAIR K95 is interesting for me too. VERY!
Probably next years shopping now I have G510 still excellent.
We will see reviews during next few months.
