I was wondering if there is a difference in "Standard" HD5870 Graphic cards...

Which one has the "BEST" Performence/overclocking possibilities?

`

Which one would you choose ? ONLY STANDARD ONES!

Thx. :wavey:

it all boils down to personal prefrence mate, the 5870's are good cards,go with the main brands that have good warrenty/support/RMA,some good ones are EVGA,XFX.

I like powercolor, purely as they were cheapest for my 4 series cards... but as said, personal preference, XFX have particularly awesome RMA, Sapphire do the VaporX coolers, ASUS has the overvolt thing, depends what you want it to do, if you are sticking it on water, then the ASUS volt tweak will rock, and Sapphires VaporX will be utterly pointless etc

Is it just me or are you contradicting yourself a bit?

You want a "standard one" yet you want the one with the best performance?

All the "standard" ones should have exactly the same pcb and same clocks.

The only way to choose is choose between The name on the card.

I would go Gigabyte personally.

They were the cheapest on Scan when i last looked, and im pretty sure their RMA centre is in the UK

I had RMA at the retailer in Denmark, where i live. My XFX 9800GX2 BE burned down and they are wiling to exchange it fora HD5870 and i am just wondering which one is the best choice. They have Asus, PowerColor, Club 3D, XFX and Sapphire...

I agree with GavX, depends what you want to get out of your card really. Will it be air or water cooled? If air then Vapor-X is awesome, I use a 4890 with one of those coolers on it but if you're going to watercool it you'll end up paying extra money for something you aren't going to use.

The long and short of it, at the moment is that any brand is fine, they are all reference cards.

Also, the Vapor-x model has a slightly better cooler, however the reference coolers are so quiet it hardly warrants the extra money and if you are a Wcooler anyway save the £70 and stick a waterblock on it.

My advice is to grab whichever is in stock :P

I have it on good authority that overclockers have a massive shipment coming in monday and should have a fair bit of stock available so get an order in there!
