Save your money and wait....

Trust me. ;)

Wait for how long??? I am off on a little trip this summer (Afghanistan) so i want to have my laptop in time. I need to have it by mid april.

Saving money isnt an issue I already have several grand saved, £1000 is all i am willing to spend on a laptop............... unless somthing very special comes along. I know Nvidia 8800 based systems are now becoming available, but it seems overkill for a laptop that will only be used by my wife to browse the internet apart for when i need to go away.

No takey to afgfhanney, bloody sand gets everywhere ;) seriously do not take it!!!!

by an el cheapo or a ps3 mate.

£1000+ laptops are overkill or overpriced. When i got mine it was pretty much top of the range and was £700.

I mean you can get laptops with 500gb HDDs, but do you really need it.

Is it going to be a desktop replacement type or portable. What kind of size screen are you after?

You want a gaming laptop...but not a gaming laptop? *confused*

Only gaming laptop that springs to mind for taking travelling (Most are absolutely HUGE) is the Asus G1...

Specs on it are pretty good, but a touch flashy for my own personal taste.
