Best gaming chair for bigger person?

Hey guys and girls. I'm not sure if this is the right section for this topic so sorry if I'm wrong.

My chair has been giving out on me recently and I'm in need of a new one. Thing is my last office chair isn't exactly the definition of comfort or quality and I payed a fair amount of money for it too. I have been hearing a lot of good things about gaming chairs and how they are healthy and very comfortable. The only problem is I'm not a very small person (300lbs) so I have no idea which of those would be best for me? Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm sure something like a DX racer should be ok for you Barnacules is over 300 pound and he's using one and they do make specific lines for larger people.
I'm 193cm tall and 100kg and my chair is great, so 6'4" 220pounds and it's been one of the most comfortable chairs I've had so far

I don't normally give advice.

But IMHO i wouldn't buy any of these gaming chairs anymore there all made in the same factory in China.

Depends on your location but if you do long sessions in front of your computer you should look at Autonomous ErgoChair, This will be my next chair.

If you watch JayzTwoCents you would know that he doesn't like the "Gaming" chairs as of now.

Damn dude you're tall :p

I'm guessing by your weight (lbs not the figure) that you are in the USA.

I would try and track down a used Herman Miller size C. I don't do these "gamorz racing chair" things.

I'm 5'10 and around 250lbs and I use a Humanscale Freedom Headrest. I got it cheap (around £240 UK). It's the best chair I've used at my weight because it's nice and wide. I found my Herman Miller a little restrictive on the width, but I think that was a size A. The Humanscale is an acquired taste though because of the way it tilts and oh, they are like $1300 at full RRP.

I am a fan of Dxracer too, I've been very happy with my F series chair.
Check out their product line, they have a big variety of models.

As Excalabur said, have a look at Barnacules' review :)

Herman Millers are great but they are really expensive unless like AlienALX said you track down a good deal. I think they have lifetime warranties so even used ones are great usually.

In your case I would recommend you a DXRacer just like most guys here did. I'm in love with my K-Series as I am one of the big boys myself. Thing is they have the most comfortable chairs for big guys. Not sure what would suit you best because height is important too when it comes to gaming chairs. Also how much do you plan on spending?

In any case I recommend you go to www.gamingchairsxp.com and see some recommendations in all price ranges there. The guys knows a lot about gaming chairs so there also some interesting and useful things to read up on there on the homepage like office chairs vs gaming chairs and how to choose one best for you personally etc. That's the only blog I found about gaming chairs that has recommendations for bigger guys too so it should be perfect for you.

You should take a look at gt omegas too, I think they have a model for big people too and they are a little cheaper than DXracers.
