Best AIO I can buy?

Hi All,

I have an 8700k that I can't overclock as the temps go through the roof at the smallest overclock but I think this is due to the crappy used asetek AIO that I have.

So my question is what is the out and out best AIO I can buy?

Check out Toms review of the Corsair Platinum coolers , as they are made by coolIt not asetek and he was impressed with them

So I had this problem and it did turn out that my AIO had gone faulty because a replacement (Corsair H115i Platinum) improved the temps.

However, the biggest win for me was getting my CPU delidded, what a game changer! reduced my temps by 20+ degrees under load. I actually sent it to a guy from ebay who did a stella job

Its actually all about volts on your CPU dude - no AIO will tame that completely

If they are suddenly spiking as you work the volts up then you need to keep it at a point where you dont overload the TIM on the CPU

You didnt say what your AIO is currently or any of your OC settings - Im hoping youve got manual CPU volts and the LLC set up correctly?

If I'm honest I am a complete novice when it comes to overclocking but a friend of mine who had just OD'd his 8700k was helping me and even the slightest change made my cpu temps go completely out of control... I want to replace the cooler anyway as it was second hand when I got it and was used as a test cooler so didn't have a great life before hand.

The AIO I have is just a 240mm Asetec rad with NZXT AER rgb fans on it.

Honestly any help with what setting's I should try would be awesome.

Dude I've been really happy with my Kraken X62 with EK Vardar fans maybe the 360 version of it might be good for you

Btw Kraken X62 is the same AIO as EVGA CLC 280, though the EVGA fans are really noisy. But won't matter if you replace them.

Are the EK kit's like the P360 better than standard AIO's?

Not sure if you can compare an EK kit with an AIO as they are higher grade custom watercooling parts put together in a box by EK for you .
I myself have used 2 EK kits and love them , and on the plus side you can expand you loop as they are custom parts ,obvious down side is the initial cost of coarse but that's your decisions
