best adsl broadband providers??

right lookin 2 get a 2mb connection. ive been lookin at a company called gio internet who provied 2mb broadband at £39.99 a month any1 kno the quailty of there service?

BulldogDSL, my connections a year old nearly and I get 2 meg off peak (5pm - 8am and all weekend and bank holidays). £30 a month.

And that was a year ago so maybe they have better offers now, have to say I have had about 2 hours total downtime in the year also, I have nothing to complain about.

Just checked you can get 2 meg line for £38 and a £1 connection charge, that all the time and not prime time only.

as a gamer my upload speed is jus as important as my dl speed. i need at least 512 upload. i kno its rare on a adsl line but sum1 must offer it. think i may go with gio internet. but i need 2 find out there upload speeds

BT have been testing that out at the moment, but will be more for servers etc..

Really as a gamer your upload speed is not as important as download as you have to download the position and actions of everyone else, just uploading your positions and actions, unless you are running the game server. Not that the extra speed would not be nice.

as a gamer myself i checked all the cap rates etc and it seems aslong as you have 15kbps upload u shud get smooth spike-less pings on server, howevere if u have an upload running at 15kbps and have 15kbps left over ure gonna get lag (it dont work like that) u wont notice any difference with a higher upload tho, i cna cram about 4 people on my 256Kbps upload and go play DC and dont notice any difference
