Best 80mm Fan around

Im fed up of this crappy, noisy Akasa fan that came bolted to my Evo33.

Whats the best 80mm fan money can buy?
 
Yes i do, pnaflo looks good on paper but what about real world?. What about these new silentx ones?
 
Panaflo is easily considered one of the top fan manufacturers around. Based on the one I have (120mm) they have a solid cfm/sound ratio. I'm sure they would do fine for you. Silenx are considered by some to be the best ever and by others, way overrated. Wait till someone with more experience talks I suppose. (top fan manufacturers tend to be panaflo, delta (for those who want extreme power and hearing loss), sanyo denki (this san ace? not sure), yate loon, nexus (rewound yates for lower rpm, considered to be overrated a bit), think that's it)
 
I'm a Panaflo fanboy, I stick by em 100%. Powerful, low noise fans for any application. Definately go for a Pana.

Panaflo = own. I have two of 'em in my riggie, my dad has 3. They're all great :)

panasonic is a good brand for anything(i love em)

i have a panaflow as well btw,never had any problems with it:)

papst fans are good as well,i have a 120mm papst sitting on my desk since this avo on 12v thru mains,super little desk fan:rollingla
 
depends what you are after ham

delta = best cfm, worst noise

panaflow = often regarded as the best noise/cfm ratio

silenx = do exactly what they sayon tin tbh, quiet but lose on the cfm
 
Papst FTW tbh.

When going for non-bling fans i wouldn't look anywhere else. They are so well built, they'll prolly outlive you.
 
For Scythe, the brand you really want to look for are their S-Flex ones. Very nice cfm/dba ratio. People have em and love em. Only 120mm though. And one of the favorites for 120mm that is very cheap and has a solid cfm/dba ratio would be the Yate Loon D12SL-12
 
Cheers guys but it has to be 80mil. Nothing else fits the evo.

Edit: funnily enough ive been looking into getting myself a scythe ninja, along with a Antec p180 case. The fan arangment on the p180 is prefect for the ninja.

Yeh. I agree with you WC, people love those Yate Loon's.. and they're so darned cheap it's nuts!
